Most exclusive musical nights at La Pedrera Jazz

Fridays and Saturdays from June to September, the best music is on the rooftop terrace at Casa Milà.

Jazz has been firmly rooted in Barcelona culture for decades, and there are always good opportunities to hear the genre’s best musicians at venues around the city. But in the summer, the concerts move outside so everyone can enjoy them once the heat wanes. One of the classics has to be La Pedrera Jazz, a series of performances by true masters of jazz music on the rooftop terrace of Antoni Gaudí’s emblematic building. These evenings start off with a self-guided tour of the attic, on the top floor of La Pedrera, followed by a glass of cava on the rooftop terrace, an iconic, evocative spot that invites visitors to enjoy the architecture, night-time views of Barcelona and great music. There will be 17 musicians and singers, both local and international, helping us enjoy summer in the city.

All of the performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 June to 14 September, starting at 8:45 pm on the rooftop at La Pedrera. Among other big names, we’ll get the chance to enjoy SuperSax Project, a group of eleven musicians who seamlessly blend tradition and modernity. We’ll also have the Joan Codina Sextet, with their highly unique style and original compositions. The Eva Fernández Trio will also accompany us one evening, showcasing the great singing and saxophone skills of their leader, a very promising young artist. One of the most exciting concerts will be by the Barcelona-based Portuguese group the Jorge da Rocha Trio, presenting their new album To Drop and Let Go.

Tickets for all the shows cost €36. You can get yours on the La Pedrera website.
