'Nits en Viu', a unique proposal

The Poble Espanyol is programming musical performances and evening activities from Wednesday to Sunday.

Until the end of August, Poble Espanyol will offer concerts and activities of all kinds five evenings a week, from Wednesday to Sunday, to enjoy the summer nights without leaving Barcelona.

In addition, this season, Poble Espanyol is turning the spaces of the Marquee and the Picnic into a specially decorated village where attendees can have something to eat and drink before or after the concert.

The musical offer covers a wide range of styles, with bands and artists of all kinds, both emerging and established.

Every Wednesday, starting at 8 p.m., the Blues Nights will feature performances by Mestres del Blues (29 June); Blues Social Club (6 July); Marc Ferrer & Marian Barahona & Big Dani Pérez (13 July); Three Time Losers (20 July); The Suitcase Brothers (27 July); Alex Zayas Band (3 August); Big Mama Montse & Burguez Bross (10 August); Wax & Boogie feat. Drew Davis (17 August); Johnny Big Stone & The Blues Workers (24 August); and Bratia (31 August). You can get your tickets in advance from 10 euros at this link.

Thursdays will be the turn of a new edition of the Mahou Rock&Grill festival, with a wide range of grilled meat and nine concerts featuring 18 tribute bands to the following groups: Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine (30 June); Saxon and Iron Maiden (7 July); Barón Rojo and Barricada (14 July); Guns N’Roses and Metallica (21 July); Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin (28 July); Ramones and Motörhead (4 August); Judas Priest and AC/DC (11 August); David Bowie and Queen (18 August); and Mötley Crüe and Kiss (25 August). You can check the name of the bands and get your ticket in advance, starting at 12 euros, at this link.

On Fridays, Poble Espanyol will be filled with opera. P!Ópera (Pícnic&Òpera) is an entertaining and elegant way of bringing the best-known operatic themes to the general public. Each show, lasting an hour and a half, will include excerpts from different operas performed by professional singers and piano accompaniment. Before each performance, you will be offered a welcome drink, and attendees will have the opportunity to savour a menu of natural products served in a picnic basket and accompanied by live classical music.

Saturdays will always be different and will host the Picnic Beat sessions, the Hipnotik Festival and other proposals aimed at young and adult audiences.

The week will close each Sunday with Rumba Sunsets and the stimulating live performances of a carefully selected line-up of artists, including Dijous Paella (3 July); Derrumband (10 July); Piratas Rumbversions and Suzanna (17 July); Sabor de Gràcia (24 July); Piratas Rumbversions and Queralt Lahoz (31 July); Alma Boquerón (7 August); Piratas Rumbversions and Tori Spark (14 August), The Salsa Punk Orchestra (21 August) and Piratas Rumbversions (28 August). All concerts will start at 8:30 p.m., and there will be a one-hour DJ session beforehand. You can get your ticket in advance from 10 euros at this link.
