Sala Upload and Poble Espanyol are joining forces

Joan Colomo, Kiwis, Los Mambo Jambo, and Los Torontos will be the protagonists of the last two sessions of Picnic Beat at Poble Espanyol.

After last fall's success, Poble Espanyol and Sala Upload are back with the concert series Picnic Beat, live sessions of the best indie rock, psychedelia, garage and soul music. On the first and third Saturdays of the month, at noon, you can enjoy the vermouth hour accompanied by bands and DJs that will make you vibe like never before. The next session, on Saturday, 19 June, will be headed by Sant Celoni musician Joan Colomo, presenting his new album Disc trist. At the party, he will be joined by Kiwis, four veterans in the Barcelona music scene who have been part of different bands such as Veracruz and La célula durmiente, and who have received Colomo's help to record some of their songs. In addition, Oye Polo, a duo made up of comedians Oye Sherman and Ana Polo, will also take the stage with one of their brilliant monologues.

The following and last date of this year's summer edition of Picnic Beat will be on Saturday, 3 July. Los Mambo Jambo, a group with a hard-to-categorize sound, will be headlining the event. They have labeled their genre “Sonido Jambofónico,” a wild mix of rock & roll, rhythm & blues, surf, and swing under a contemporary perspective. In the Main Square of Poble Espanyol, they will present their latest album, Exotic Rendezvous, with the support of Los Torontos, a group from Lliçà de Munt inspired by the music of the late 50s and early 60s.

Concerts will start at 2 pm. Tickets are 20 euros and can be booked here.
