A new season of live opera and ballet at Cinemes Boliche

You’ll have the chance to see works such as Don Pasquale, Coppélia, La Bohème and Elektra while they are being performed at the Royal Opera House in London.

Opera has found a new home in cinemas around the world for some years now. Many passionate fans of this musical discipline enjoy seeing works on the silver screen performed in top quality by true experts, so the sound and picture are unbeatable. One of the cinemas that has been taking part in this trend year after year is Cinemes Boliche in Barcelona, which screens works put on by the Royal Opera House in London. These works are broadcast live thanks to cutting edge technology used by the concert hall, which gives the viewer an unparalleled feeling of closeness to the audience in England. Apart from opera, there will also be the opportunity to view ballets as well.

There will be one or two screenings each month during the 2019/2020 season at Cinemes Boliche, from 8 October to 18 June at different times. The cycle started at the beginning of October with the screening of Don Giovanni and continued on the 24th with Don Pasquale. The next screening that you can attend will be the performance of three ballets, Concerto, Enigma Variations and Raymonda on 5 November. After that you can see Coppéila (10/12), The Sleeping Beauty (16/1), La Bohème (29/1), Marston & Scarlett (25/2), Fidelio (17/3), Swan Lake (1/4), Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci (21/4), The Dante Project (28/5) and Elektra (18/6).

Tickets for the screenings will be priced between €4.50 and €6, depending on the day. You can find all of the information on the Cinemes Boliche website.
