Virtual Reality (VR) and augmented reality are some of the main topics covered in the last Sónar+D

The creative technology of Sónar+D

The organisation describes this congress as an anti-disciplinary meeting and brings together artists, technologists, thinkers, scientists and entrepreneurs.

The Sónar electronic music festival, which has continued to program year after year since 1994, created Sónar+D in 2013, an international congress that puts technology in the spotlight and how it changes our social, economic and creative present. It is a meeting point for innovators from all creative and technological fields as well as thinkers, scientists and coders to think about the changes to the present day and enter into an exploration of future changes. Sónar+D has brought characters from all over the world over the years, such as the singer Björk, the pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto or members of NASA itself.

Now you have the opportunity to go over the key moments of this congress through their YouTube channel. The Sónar+D organization uploads recordings of talks, interviews and round tables on topics related to technology and digital creativity, such as different approaches to VR (Virtual Reality) or research in technology, applied to music or the process of creation and the use of spatial sound.

The videos of all the talks and interviews are posted on the channel. Some of the foreign speakers are accompanied by an interpreter, but others may be entirely in English and without subtitles. Explore the Sónar+D channel to discover much more.
