This summer, the afternoons are lived in the garden!
The Can Verdaguer Civic Center presents a concert series for all tastes, with bands ranging from pop to soul and from trap to rumba.
In summer, experience open-air music! Because the Can Verdaguer Civic Center is launching Afternoons in the Garden, a concert series suitable for all tastes. On Tuesdays and Thursdays in August, the center’s gardens will fill with rhythm and emotion, with live performances by local bands and emerging artists.
From folk to soul, passing through pop and electronic, Afternoons in the Garden has a bit of everything and something for everyone. On August 15, it’s time for Tomàs Corvalán & Los Índigos, a music project that skillfully blends trap, pop tones, urban music, and indie to create a fresh and powerful sound. Four after 909 arrive on August 7 at the center’s garden to bring the best of The Beatles to Barcelona. Considered one of the most outstanding tributes to the Fab Four from Liverpool, this show promises to revive the essence of the legendary British band with a polished and energetic stage performance.
Señorita Julia y sus Ex’s take the stage on August 19 to make you laugh with their sharp humor, flooding songs about feminism, toxic relationships, and other dramas we all drag along in our love lives. Eivol will be next to join Afternoons in the Garden with a lively proposal that mixes the deep roots of blues and jazz with the smooth rhythms of R&B.
And on August 26, it will be time to welcome Tumbalotó, a trio from Barcelona who carry the party in their veins and rumba in their hands, performing classic covers with lots of rumba energy. The Colour Fools will be the band closing the curtain on this concert series on August 28, with songs that aim to save humanity from imminent decay.
Whether you're a fan of the classics or looking for new sounds, Afternoons in the Garden is the perfect excuse to get out of the house, sit in the open air, and let yourself be carried away by the music. You’ll find more information on the Can Verdaguer Civic Center website.
