Tokio Hotel is back onstage with the Melancholic Paradise Tour

This German band embodied a generation, and they’re still at it with an updated image.

Many of us will recall Tokio Hotel as one of the most iconic bands in the “emo” movement. They reaped success in the 2000s with hundreds of awards and millions of albums sold. Now they have decided to head back to the stage with an updated image, yet with the same essence as always, in order to unveil a new project, their sixth studio album, which will be released this year. They have called the new tour Melancholic Paradise Tour 2019, and they didn’t choose this name randomly: it is a tribute to their lifelong fans, the ones who have been with them from the start. At the concert they’re going to hold at Sala Razzmatazz, you will hear all the band’s greatest hits, from their debut in 2005 until their latest tunes. The show promises to be visually striking, with lots of surprises, on par with the amazing performances that made the group famous, such as the mythical one at the Eiffel Tower which attracted half a million fans. The members of Tokio Hotel, Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg, claim that they didn’t take the easy way with this show either, and that they are still motivated to evolve, always with extremely personal lyrics and highly addictive pop-punk beats.

They’ll be stopping in Barcelona on the Melancholic Paradise Tour 2019 on 3 May at 7:30 pm. The concert will be at the Sala Razzmatazz in the Marina district, a place that the band’s fans will probably know.

Early ticket sales cost €54 with handling costs included. You can buy yours at the Tokio Hotel website.
