A Walk Through the Universe

Discover the secrets of the cosmos with your family in two sessions on Thursday the 3rd of August

The CosmoCaixa Science Museum is organizing the 'Cosmonights,' themed evenings for experiencing science, such as the Night of the Universe, which will take place on Thursday, the 3rd of August, in two sessions, one in the afternoon and another in the evening, offering a program designed for all audiences.

The Night of the Universe is a unique opportunity to explore the cosmos through scientific outreach and various exciting activities. Each session offers a wide variety of events of different types and durations. There will be workshops about astronauts, rockets, and constellations, as well as scientific experiments and challenges to solve. Additionally, films and documentaries like 'Hidden Figures' and 'Fulldome' will be screened, colloquium shows and monologues will be presented by Big Van Ciencia, and there will be a family conference on astronomy by Nanda Rea. Museum educators will lead thematic tours to educate about the origin of the universe and its evolution up to the present day. Museum experts will also be available to answer visitors' questions about astronomy and science in order to discover the complexity and beauty of the cosmos. And, for total immersion in astronomy, the digital planetarium experience at CosmoCaixa cannot be missed.

Both sessions share some activities, but there are others that are only carried out either in the afternoon session or in the evening session. The activities included in both sessions are: 'A Walk through the Cosmos' and the workshops 'Wandering Science,' 'The Universe Under the Magnifying Glass,' and 'The Universe in Your Hands.' Regarding the schedule, the afternoon session is from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with access opening from 6:30 PM, while the evening session runs from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with access starting at 8:30 PM. The entrance fee is €9, and spaces are limited until capacity is reached. An adult must accompany children under 14 years of age. The ticket includes access to the museum, the temporary exhibition, and the activities, and for the evening session, it also includes the film. You can purchase tickets from this link.
