MEAM’s confinement exhibition

The Museu Europeu d’Art Modern collects works that have a relationship with everyday life to offer an exhibition on confinement.

There are many virtual initiatives that are emerging during the isolation of these days, which the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern wants to turn around and turn into art. Their proposal is a virtual exhibition of works that represent confinement, details of the day to day that we are living and that show scenes and emotions that we recognize as what is now our daily life. It is an opportunity to approach the situation in a different way with the intention that each of you create your own story from the personal interpretation of the images. The exhibition is made up of absolutely realistic works by international figurative artists and, if you wish, you have the opportunity to submit yours.

In one of the fragments of the MEAM's Manifesto its position is declared defending art as a product for the people, for the citizens of the street, and not for the scholars. It is their way of claiming the art that reflects this same public, their habits, their feelings, where citizens feel represented. Definitely, a statement that is fully captured in this exhibition of confinement.

The MEAM adds a new work to the exhibition every day, so don't lose track of any of its social media channels: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
