The future is speculation. Asking ourselves what the future will be like requires an exercise of imagination and also projection. Something similar to what we do with the remote past that we have only known through the story we have been told, which is also fragmented, subjective and narrated by the winners of the main battles in history. If imagination plays an important role in the reconstruction of the past, it is possible that evocation could help us to think/construct the future.
The laboratory aims to work on these ideas through group improvisation exercises that are driven by the body, voice and interruption as a trigger for other possible scenarios.

Cris Celada. I was born and grew up in Madrid, where I studied drama: textual interpretation, stage movement, oral narration, dubbing and clown. I also trained as a teacher. Stage creation and accompanying groups are the two pillars of my work, I always mix using them.
In 2005, I moved to Barcelona where I began developing my own theatre activity, combining small-format theatre, cabaret and theatre-café with new drama creations. I founded the El Pollo Campero, comidas para llevar company, to do things on stage. I also founded Leer es Sexy, where we mix critical thought and pop culture through dubbing.
As an artist, I am interested in blurring the boundaries of theatricality. What is needed for theatre to occur, what can I forego? I’m in love with the mix, the overlapping of apparently opposing materials, such as thought and pop culture.
