Activity free of charge

From October 2016 to February 2017 the Live Cooking University workshop-course has been held as part of the Living In-between programme. The Live Cooking University proposes a review and exploration of professional learning experimental models based on collaborative practices, by creating a workgroup for discussing, creating alternatives and reflecting on the cross-cutting and pivotal model between institutional and non-institutional education centres.
Using the kitchen as a symbolic space and cooking as a shared knowledge production exercise, the course has evolved over seven sessions in a workshop format, for sharing techniques, tools and resources relating to different issues approached by the programme. The result of this process is seven recipes or protocols that summarise the different questions and suggestions that should be considered for the construction of an alternative space for producing knowledge, which unites academic and self-directed education.
In this return session the different results and conclusions of the process will be presented together with the seven recipes created. These will then be subjected to the criteria of people who are not part of the workgroup, in order to build a project that facilitates the coexistence of all opinions and becomes a focal point for other projects, entities and cross-cutting initiatives. Therefore, anyone interested in the project is invited to continue building and sharing ideas based on the initial foundation that has been developed.
This course is part of the Inter-Actions project, managed by the Mixité collective (Marta Carrasco and Sergi Selvas). For more information and to consult the recipes see: www.inter-accions.org.
