Elisenda Solsona

Elisenda Solsona, born in Olesa de Montserrat in 1984, is a writer and secondary school teacher. She holds undergraduate degrees in humanities, from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), and audiovisual communication, from the University of Barcelona (UB). Her début novel, Mammalia, won the Ictineu Prize and was nominated for the Òmnium Prize, and her previous published works, the short-story collections Cirurgies [Surgeries] and Satèl·lits [Satellites], won the Imperdibles and Ictineu awards. One of the stories from Satèl·lits, ‘Engranatges’, was published in English as ‘Mechanisms’ in The Valancourt Book of World Horror Stories. She also contributed to the anthology Autòctones [Natives].
