Lluís J. Salart, born in L’Escala in 1977, describes himself as a sociologist, advertiser, father and gay man – and a believer in Asimov and Le Guin. He has published the fix-up novels Proyecto Marte [Project Mars] (Cazador de Ratas) and Un càlid calfred [A Warm Shiver] (El astronauta imposible), and his stories have appeared in SuperSonic, Literup and other publications. In his latest novel, Nos arrulla la niebla [The Fog Lulls Us to Sleep], he uses psychological horror to explore how the absence of meaningful relationships becomes the ideal breeding ground for a monster.
