A former factory building in Poblenou is the ideal venue for a circus-style reflection on women's contribution to the processes of industrialisation, as part of a series that brings artists into contact with the city's museum spaces.

An Italian circus creator living in Catalonia combines various text and audiovisual movement performance ideas, in order to bring us a contemporary circus creation relating to the process of artistic research. This is A_MEN, an autobiography on social, religious and political conditioning, with a reflection on the role of women workers during the industrialisation of contemporary Barcelona.

A_MEN (Treball, dones i migracions) is on at the former Olivia Artés factory (one of the halls in MUHBA, the Barcelona History Museum) as part of Creation and Museums, a series of performance productions where artists from various disciplines come into contact with Barcelona’s museums and cultural institutions, interacting with their installations and collections in a series of theatre, dance and music productions.

A Central del Circ and Museu d’Història de Barcelona (MUHBA) co-production.
