Fi de partida

de Samuel BEckett

Endgame is a brief but intense and richly humorous work which, fifty years after it was written, has lost none of its power to amuse, move and make us think. Fi de partida is set in a bare room, but the play is full of movement, with stairs, alarm clocks, telescopes, pills, insecticides and other objects. The characters are as if at the end of a chess match: all the pieces have disappeared, and only the two kings remain, facing one another, with their limited capacity for movement, in a desperate attempt to win the contest.
