MACBA at the Grec - La intrusa

  • Dansa
  • Grec en obert

Niágara

The Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) adds two proposed performances to the Festival programme in addition to two dance shows that were rescheduled following the suspension of the Metropolitan Dance Fortnight.

This will be an intense two days in which dance and movement, but also performance, will play a prominent role. The MACBA Chapel is currently getting ready to perform these four shows under the conditions ordered by the health authorities:
La Intrusa (Virginia García / Damián Muñoz)
Niágara
This show reflects on concepts such as falling, loss and change, which often hurl us towards life’s abyss, a realm of freedom for which we are not prepared. Though we are sometimes certain we’re on the right track, we can suddenly come to a halt, thrown off balance before the world and others, just before a big fall.
La Intrusa, which received the 2015 National Dance Prize, is a contemporary artistic creation company directed by Virginia García and Damián Muñoz that has been performing for over twenty years. Its works are notable for their capacity to create poetic performances with considerable visual and emotional impact, in an intimate tone.
