An evening to enjoy a concert by some of the finest musicians on the Barcelona jazz scene, to marvel at the youth and freshness of a talented jazzwoman and to appreciate the mastery of an American tenor sax player who has worked with many of the greats.
For just one week, the Jamboree Club revives those nights in April 2013 when five of the most lauded musicians on the Catalan jazz scene (Joan Chamorro, Ignasi Terraza, Josep Traver, Esteve Pi and the youngster Andre Motis) recorded an album, accompanied by a master of the tenor sax. Scott Hamilton’s clear, refined playing style has seen him work with such legends as Benny Goodman and Roy Eldridge, amongst others. A renowned figure on the international stage, Hamilton will serve up the essence of the most authentic jazz sounds in a series of nights certain to be warm, magical and memorable.
