Off the Record: Santi Balmes

And what did you use to have for tea? Santi Balmes, singer and guitarist with one of the leading groups on the Catalan scene today, used to have music and images as seen and heard in the music videos on TV programmes like “Play it again Sam”, “Plàstic” and early “Spútnik”. No surprise, then, with such a diet, that he should end up as the leader of a group that has made several successful albums, including “Ungravity” and “1999 o cómo generar incendios de nieve con la lupa enfocando a la Luna”. At this show, Balmes will be accompanied by Dani Ferrer, keyboard player with Love of Lesbian, on home organ, as the duo perform some of the songs that, like us, they used to hear on television, and which left their mark on an entire generation.
