The revamp to this urban space includes Plaça dels Àngels and the adjacent streets, as well as Plaça de Terenci Moix and the shopping street of C/ Joaquín Costa.

The project will see the square gain 1,105 square metres of extra space for people to use, becoming the epicentre of a corridor of services that include the new CAP Raval Nord, which is being relocated to the Capella de la Misericòrdia, and the enlargement of the MACBA in the Convent dels Àngels.

The project includes the addition of trees, vegetation, benches and easy chairs.

Maximum interaction between the MACBA and the city

The enlargement of the MACBA will add 2,110 square metres of space to the museum for exhibition rooms, gallery space and other facilities. A terrace of 350 square metres will also be created, open to everybody.

Work will be tendered in June and get under way in November, to be completed in 2027.

Greater healthcare capacity at the new CAP Raval Nord

The primary healthcare centre will move into the Capella de la Misericòrdia and form part of the facilities with a new building.

The current primary healthcare and specialist care, along with sexual and reproductive health, will continue to be provided at the new location.

Work will begin in June, with the centre expected to become operative in the first quarter of 2026.
