Work will focus on:

  • pedestrian routes
  • current uses
  • improved use and space
  • improved urban condition to directly match activities

The work will also provide continuity to the project carried out in Rambla de l’Onze de September, from C/ Segre to C/ Gran de Sant Andreu. In all, this will facilitate the spatial organisation of bar and restaurant terraces.

The overall budget is 843,642.82 euros, with the work to provide a smooth asphalt surface and patterned paving.

Demand from the participatory budget

Urban furniture in the area will remain unchanged, with the various elements to be reconditioned and put back in place once the work concludes. Benches and litter bins are an exception and will be replaced, with ball-shaped bollards in front of reserved entrances to be definitively removed.

In terms of trees, the project should protect 126 trees and replace three.

The project was voted for as part of the participatory budget process, gaining 1,083 votes. The work was approved on 30 December and tendered on 7 January. Work will last until June.
