La Febrerada: first edition of the new event for the social and solidarity economy

Dubbed ‘La Febrerada’, this new festive and reflective gathering for the city’s social and solidarity economy (SSE) makes its debut on 10 February. The goal is to generate a meeting space for different initiatives to share challenges and work together to consolidate the SSE, showing at the same time that this ecosystem is now a reality in the city.

The meeting is divided into two parts: a daytime session for reflection and inspiration and a festive evening with shows and concerts.

  • Day session, from 12 noon to 5.30 pm, at the Centre Cultural Albareda (C/ Albareda, 22), with discussion panels on the impact and future challenges of the SSE, plus various talks aimed at organisations linked to this sector in the city.
  • Evening session, from 6 pm until midnight, at Av. Paral·lel, 62, Anna Polo and Oye Sherman will be tasked with presenting this celebration, open to all and getting under way with a live programme from Carne Cruda followed by concerts from Carlota Flâneur, Rodrigo Laviña y su Combo, Tribade and DJ Slimboy Flacko.

Admission free and open to all. Registration in advance is only needed for the programme from Carne Cruda, where the venue means capacity is limited.

La Febrerada is being organised within the context of the city agreement for the Barcelona Social and Solidarity Economy Strategy 2030.
