Saturday, 7 March:

• C/ Creu Coberta – C/ Sants (4.30 pm to 9.30 pm): two stages will be set up between Pl. Espanya and C/ Arizala, with a programme of activities organised by local entities and retailers.
• Gran de Gràcia (5 pm to 9 pm): between Pl. Nicolás Salmerón and C/ Nil Fabra there will be various activities to enjoy local commerce.
• Via Laietana (from 3.30 pm to 10.30 pm): workshops and activities between Pl. Urquinaona and Pl. Antonio López, as well as hammocks and a table-tennis zone.

Sunday, 8 March, from 7 am to 5 pm

• Aragó: from C/ Tarragona to Av. Meridiana.

Activities in C/ Aragó will be held between 10 am and 3 pm and are:

• Picnic area, badminton, table tennis, piano in the street, circus workshops, music etc.
• At specific times: drumming, sardana dancing, a football match, swing etc.
• Itinerant activities: bands, cycling routes.
• Viewing platforms: five structures will be erected to see from above what C/ Aragó is like with no traffic.

Changes to public transport

Changes or limitations will apply to nineteen bus services: 6, 7, 19, 22, 24, 39, 47, 54, 59, 62, 63, 67, V9, V13, V15, V17, V19, V23 and D50.

To guarantee mobility, traffic will be allowed to use five streets to cross C/ Aragó. These are: C/ Urgell, C/ Villaroel, C/ Marina, C/ Lepant and C/ Padilla.

Goal: ten main streets

The initiative ‘Open Streets’ started on 1 February in C/ Gran de Gràcia and Via Laietana, filling the two streets with people.

The project will take place over the first weekend of each month, progressively increasing the number of streets until ten main roads are involved at the end of 2020.

In the first two months of this measure being applied, a total of 209,780 square metres will be freed up for use by local people, with an estimated traffic reduction of 100,000 vehicles.
