Meeting to discuss childhood and adolescence in the cityThe Espai Jove La Fontana is hosting a meeting on the present and future of childhood and adolescence in the city on 19 November, from 9 am to 6.30 pm. During the day there will be explanations of municipal action in this area and a shared approach to the challenges of improving welfare, education and health during childhood and adolescence in the city.
Barcelona City Council’s Area of Social Rights is organising the meeting ‘La Infància i l’adolescència a Barcelona: present i futur’ at the Espai Jove La Fontana on 19 November, from 9 am to 6.30 pm.
The meeting coincides with Universal Children’s Day (20 November) and is being organised in collaboration with the Institut Infància i Adolescència de Barcelona. Various entities, bodies and research groups will be taking part, as will young children and teenagers.
The goal of the meeting is to explain the work being done by Barcelona City Council in relation to childhood and adolescence, as well as share the main challenges on improving welfare, education and health among children and teenagers. The 0-17 BCN Observatory will also be presented, a new city tool to learn about and improve lives and rights in childhood and adolescence, as well as new analyses of poverty, welfare, education, health, free time, culture and play. The event will also help the City Council to address the children’s agenda.
