Visitor numbers and family memberships up at Tibidabo

The Tibidabo Amusement Park had over 681,000 visitors in 2023, some 10% more than in 2022. The number of club memberships also rose by 8%, bringing the current number of families with annual memberships to over 21,600. Following the Christmas programme, the park has now wound up the season until 2 March.

Over 92,000 people visited Tibidabo during the Christmas campaign, with iconic seasonal options such as the sustainable ice rink of 200 square metres installed in Plaça dels Somnis, which attracted over 12,000 people.

Last year brought the consolidation of virtual reality at the park, which gives a broader experience to star rides such as the rollercoaster, the Tibidabo Express and Beyond. In addition, iconic attractions such as the Krüeger Hotel and the 4D Dididado cinema attracted 154,000 and 128,000 spectators respectively, while the Marionetarium puppet theatre drew over 60,000.

Solidarity, education and sustainability

The upcoming season should bring the consolidation of solidarity and educational events at the park, such as Fisidabo, enabling fourth-year secondary and baccalaureate students from city schools to learn about science, technology and the environment. This year’s event drew a record number of participants, with over 2,400 students.

Besides renewing the collaboration agreement with UNICEF, which has enabled over 100,000 children to be schooled in Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau and more than a hundred schools to be built, Tibidabo has held other solidarity events such as “Connecta’t al blau”, “Posa’t la gorra”, the Gran Festa del Cor, the Tibidavis and the Cançó de Pau.

Over 806,000 visitors to the park used the Cuca de Llum funicular to get there, representing an increase of 19.5% compared to 2022. The funicular is one of the measures to promote sustainable access to the mountain, part of the park’s commitment to the surroundings.
