The ‘Re-connectant’ programme means establishments which currently have little presence on the internet and social media and which do not offer online sales can get technical help to go digital. The support is tailored according to the needs of each business. Twenty graduates in digital communication and marketing will act as digital officers, tasked with monitoring and putting helping implement the digital plan for each business. The goal is also to equip shopkeepers and business owners with the resources to keep working on the plan in the day-to-day running of their business.

Another step in reactivating the local economy

The programme has already helped 127 businesses thanks to collaboration with the company Endesa, which has provided 500,000 euros in funding for the project. In the first stage, an analysis will be made of the digital health of the business, in other words its internet presence, communication and marketing strategy, the use of online sales channels, the digitalisation of management processes and possibilities for improvement. A tailored digital plan will be created in the second stage, according to the results of the initial analysis.

In addition, participating shops and businesses receive training on configuring, checking and improving their website and social media, online search-engine optimisation, sales and electronic newsletters.

Any commercial establishment which has not yet accessed the Re-connectant programme and is interested in doing so can apply at https://empreses.barcelonactiva.cat/ca/web/es/assessorament-en-digitalitzacio.
