Eleven projects recognised for transformation through innovation and talent

The second edition of the ‘Barcelona Never Stops’ awards saw BizBarcelona and the Employment Fair recognise eleven projects highlighting the work of SMEs, organisations and entrepreneurs. The award winners were selected for applying innovation and talent in the transformation of their business, in activities with a social impact or for strategically backing talent as a lever for growth.

In the Innovation in Management category, Xkelet Easylife was recognised for creating software allowing plaster and fibreglass moulds to be produced in record time for hospital emergencies; Grup Montaner, for its teleworking model, tailored to the needs of each workers; and the package of services and digital tools by the Barcelona Association of Salespeople to help its professional reactivate their daily work and adapt to the new scenarios resulting from Covid-19.

Three projects gained recognition in the Innovation with Social Impact category: ‘Cuidar en Casa’, a project offering support through telematic tools for care workers looking after dependent people; SOS Mentoring, the volunteer programme where professionals, directors and business people help the self-employed and micro companies with decision-making to tackle the Covid-19 crisis, and the sustainable clothing brand Circoolar.

The following projects gained recognition in the Talent that Transforms category: the programme by the Fundació CHM to improve the employability of people with mental health disorders; the start-up by TalentFY connecting IT vacancies with profiles; the staff management transformation strategy by Finques Feliu; the Work@ programme, which seeks to create job opportunities for vulnerable groups by the shopping centre operator Unibail Rodamco Westfield and the Generation Spain Foundation, and LAB1876, the open innovation initiative by Damm.

The Employment Fair and BizBarcelona are on at Hall 8 of the Montjuïc trade fair site until Thursday, offering over 360 activities such as lectures, workshops, advice and networking spaces. The goal is to offer resources and solutions for SMEs, start-ups, the self-employed, business projects and people looking for new professional opportunities.
