Advice on well-being for workers combatting Covid-19‘Caring for our carers’ is a new initiative to help improve health and reduce stress among care workers on the front line in the fight against Covid-19. Various professionals from the world of sport appear in online videos offering advice conceived especially for workers in health and medicine, social services, care work, cleaning, transport, security, supermarkets and pharmacies.
The videos, which provide resources to address the needs resulting from the highly demanding personal and professional situation for these workers, are organised into three areas:
Relaxing physical activities, to help reduce stress through exercise, meditation, stretching, yoga and bodily awareness.
Compensatory physiotherapy exercises for different pains, muscular and osteoarticular pathologies, as well as tips on repetitive postural habits in connection with the workplace etc.
Nutrition recommendations, with tips on strengthening the immune system, organising lunch boxes correctly and more.
Besides these audio-visual resources, three email addresses have also been set up for professionals specialising in physical activity, physiotherapy and nutrition to provide a personalised response to queries about applying the exercises and the advice provided.
