Adopt a cat or a dog at this year’s Mercè
The Barcelona Pet Shelter (CAACB) and many other animal protection associations look forward to seeing you in Plaça de Catalunya over the weekend of 21 and 22 September as they promote the adoption of the cats and dogs in their care.
As part of the festivities for La Mercè, Barcelona City Council is organising a new edition of the Animal Party, with a diverse array of activities in Plaça de Catalunya over the weekend.
On both days, from 11 am through to the evening, the Association of Friends and Volunteers of the Barcelona Pet Shelter (CAACB) and many other animal protection associations will have information stands in the square promoting the adoption of the cats and dogs in their care.
The programme includes positive training workshops and kid’s activities.
There will also be parades by animals up for adoption on both days, at 12.30 pm and 6 pm.
