This year’s edition of the Mobil World Congress, the fair with the biggest economic impact for the city, invites people to reflect on their personal relationship with technology and the impact it has on society. This 2019 edition is expected to attract more than 107,000 visitors, with an economic return of 473 million euros.

Once again, the MWC comes with parallel activities which broaden the range of opportunities to establish synergies and learn about innovative ideas.

One of the events being held as part of the MWC will be the 4YFN, bringing together emerging companies, investors, corporations and public institutions and enabling new connections and business opportunities to be forged, as well as boosting and consolidating the growth of this sector at a local level.

The Youth Mobile Festival, or YoMo, is also back again this year, offering theatre shows and over a dozen interactive workshops to promote science and technology in the educational environment.

A new edition of Women4Tech is also being held simultaneously. This event is aimed at strengthening the role of women in the mobile industry and showcasing best practices to favour female leadership.

Mobile Week Barcelona

The week before the Mobile World Congress brings the third edition of Mobile Week, an event taking the digital transformation into Barcelona’s neighbourhoods with over 130 free activities for people of all ages.
