The two new basketball courts with non-permanent covered roofs in the neighbourhood of Sant Andreu de Palomar will be used by the local basketball club, Sant Joan de Mata. The hall which was previously home for the club is to be knocked down as part of the project to extend the Escola Ignasi Iglésias.

The facility will have changing rooms, an office and a store room. The budget is 479,693,80 euros and work will result in a facility with a surface area of 1,641 square metres.

The new multi-purpose sports hall, located on a previously unused plot of land, will offer extra vitality for the neighbourhoods of Sant Andreu de Palomar and Trinitat Vella.
