Two singers, with two ways of experiencing flamenco, will share the programme and stage at Música Mercè: Anna Colom, Anna Colom, a musician and composer from Barcelona, and Ángeles Toledano (Villanueva de la Reina, Jaén), a promising figure on the current flamenco scene. Colom will present his new album, Cayana, a journey through the folklore and rhythms that have influenced flamenco throughout its history. An album with multiple references, from Brazilian samba to Uruguayan candombe, from the fandango of Veracruz to the fandango of Huelva. Colom will be accompanied by a band of four musicians, the Mexican bailaora Karen Lugo and a large number of guests.

As for Toledano, he will offer his flamenco show, adapted for this special occasion, in the new stage of a concert tour that has already taken him to London's Flamenco Fest, the Suma Flamenca Joven (Madrid) and the Festival d'Art Flamenc de Catalunya, among other major flamenco events. The young cantaora situates flamenco in the present day, grounding it in her own sensibility, experience and appreciation.

The concert will conclude with a performance that will unite these two figures in newly created works that range from traditional to modern with a feminine and youthful perspective.
