They define themselves as an Andorran-Barcelonian musical group with the rhythm and spirit of a celebration, as a cocktail shaker of good music with one mission: for us to have a great time and not stop dancing. Els Senyora is a large family of musician friends who have performed on stages throughout Catalonia and Andorra for over five years. They perform versions of great hits that everyone knows to the rhythms of rumba, funk, ska, reggae, salsa and other Latin styles. Hits from every decade with the ‘Els Senyora’ brand.
Els Senyora evolved out of earlier groups (Bouncing Betty, The Soundsets), which had very different styles but the same aim: to make celebratory music. Jordi Agustí (guitar), Enric Bartomeu (keyboard), Josep Rocamora (trompet and voice), Edu Soler (cajón) and Bru Ferri, a multidisciplinary artist who sings and improvises whenever necessary. Who says that a musician trained in classical piano and operatic singing at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu can't singAserejé by Las Ketchup? That’s what Bru and the rest of the senyores in this quintet are like: five artists who are fun, cheerful, witty and, above all, funny. Petardeig with no hang ups!
