Masta Quba

Masta Quba is a Mexican rapper and activist originally from Cuautitlán Izcalli. She has given workshops, talks and concerts all over Mexico. Masta Quba is now working on her feminist hip-hop project which, through her song lyrics, sets out the need for change and consciousness raising among society. Her music is also an invitation to action against gender violence and promotes the emancipation of women. She has also taken her activism to prisons, with numerous performances in women’s and mixed prisons in different towns across Mexico. After releasing dozens of singles, in 2022 she released her debut album Roothoppas, accompanied by P. Jaguar, a multidisciplinary Catalan artist who forms part of Masta Quba's music project. His versatility has made him not only her producer but also the MC who accompanies her in all her live shows.
