Nídia is an Afro-Portuguese producer and DJ of international renown with an electric and energetic style who has left her indelible mark on the contemporary music scene. Hailing from Vale da Amoreira, opposite Lisbon, she is part of the Príncipe Discos record label and an artistic collective that has brought a sense of aesthetics as well as progressive and inspiring ethics to the infrastructure of alternative music around the world, to Kuduro culture in particular.
Her first release was Danger, in 2015, when she still went by the artistic name "Nídia Minaj". She followed up that work with the acclaimed debut album Nídia é Má, Nídia é Fudida in 2017 and a trilogy of releases: the single Badjuda Sukulbembe, the album Não Fales Nela Que A Mentes and the EP bearing her name.
The DJ and producer has received several awards for her production work in Fever Ray's album Plunge and offered remixes of Yaeji’s hit One More, Kelela's album Take Me Apart and Lafawndah’s Tourist.
She has also performed at renowned festivals such as the Sónar, the Red Bull Music Festival São Paulo and MoMA PS1 Warm Up series.
