The MUHBA Oliva Artés space is currently hosting the permanent exhibition 'Interrogar Barcelona. De la industrialització al segle XXI’, an exhibition that examines the evolution of Barcelona from the 18th century until the present day, looking at the city from different perspectives, such as work, demography, migration, social conflict, territory and industrial development.
CURRENT EXHIBITIONS
Temporary exhibition 'Habitar Barcelona. Reptes, combats i polítiques al segle XX'. The exhibition presents different stages in the history of housing policy over the course of the last century. It begins with the arrival of a huge influx of migrants in Barcelona and the first subsidised housing developments, and concludes at the end of the century with the 1997 crisis.
Temporary exhibition ‘Protegir Barcelona. Bombers i prevenció d’incendis, 1833-2022'. The fires that the city of Barcelona has suffered over the years are an indicator of the state of fire prevention at any given point in time. The exhibition explains how fire prevention measures have been implemented in Barcelona, from the creation of the city's Fire Brigade in 1833 to the present day.
