The Sad-Mad Method
Carla Sisteré
Barcelona
Dance-Theatre
From 6 and over
Physical theatre and dance. These are two artistic languages that Carla Sisteré knows very well, using them in The Sad-Mad Method to the rhythm of retro songs by Ella Fitzgerald and Elvis Presley, as well as contemporary sounds such as the song by Alexander Espinoza which lends its name to the show. Music and aesthetics past and present to dance a very current situation.
The Sad-Mad Method talks of hate, learning and self-esteem. Of hitting the bottom and rebuilding, to finally celebrate under a shower of confetti. Sisteré and Anna Sagrera engage in an energetic, physical and vital choreography, sketching a spectrum of emotions that range from defeat to ecstasy, from pain to the most exultant joy. All this, while they shout, cry, laugh...and eat popcorn!
Dancer and multidisciplinary artist, Carla Sisteré has danced with companies such as La Sadcum, Roseland Musical and the Vero Cendoya company. Her dance has no filters and reaches audiences of all ages directly. Also for families, who will enjoy The Sad-Mad Method as if it were a therapeutic experience.
Show included in the programme coordinated by UnaiUna.
