A small family circus faces a daunting challenge: to leap into the modern age. To achieve this, they will publicly present a sensational attraction, an industrial robot! A mechanical monster they will need to tame and train to become an integral part of the company. Not an easy task, considering each one claims the robot as their partner for their acts...
Salto Robotale is a tribute to the traditional circus world: juggling, partner acrobatics, Chinese acrobatics and aerials are combined with references to comics, movies, and video games. These inevitable combinations transform the old disciplines and give rise to new ones
Creating its own charm and poetry, the show will make us laugh and surprise us, not only for its originality: we will surely consider the wild machine as an expert artist, ready to assist her fellow performers on stage.
ULIK, an artist, creative engineer, performer, and live arts producer, is the ideologue and builder of the mechanical protagonist of Salto Robotale. The creator advocates for the time when machines were manually made and operated without chips or computers.
