Timeless pop sung with choir
This is a Selma Bruna début; but that doesn't mean she hasn't a long career behind her. Following her successful experience leading the Marala project, she’s now making her solo debut with Dorsal, a timeless pop album that reflects on the musical context she grew up in: the choir, where she learnt to relate to music from singing and the group, integrating vocal polyphony as an essential element in her compositions.
Dorsal has a unique choir created for the occasion, made up of family members, friends and professionals, including Sandra Monfort, Clara Fiol, Lucas Delgado, Amaia Miranda and Anna Ferrer. Selma Bruna offers a very special sound and concept performance at their side, paying homage to choral singing such as Sacerdotes y diamantes, one of the songs on the album, along with Déjame, Scared Blood, Panaderina and Blanca y morena.
Dorsal is a journey through new original songs, full of mixed sounds and multiple voices giving a personal and yet collective aspect to the concert that the artist will be giving at the La Mercè festivities.
