Halfway between urban and party music, Sexenni define themselves primarily by their ironic, informal essence which gives their music a fresh, youthful, natural touch. Born in 2019 in the basement of a secondary school in Lleida, where three classmates and friends decided to record a demo, Sexenni has constantly grown until becoming one of the fashionable groups with the biggest names in the country in record time. Sexenni has lifted off and is now flying high.

After dabbling in music a few years, they released their debut album Retrats in 2022, and just one year later they are touring with their second, Viatge galàctic (Galactic Journey). Their disco beats with indie touches, including cumbia and urban sounds, have helped people disconnect this summer with tunes like ‘Per la borda’, the story of someone suffocating from routine and trapped by work, the social media and digital pressure who leaves everything behind to regain love, fun and relaxation. It’s a tune that merges the festive sound of wind instruments and synthetic textures from the 1980s with a metaphoric, poetic feel seasoned with a sound dose of satire and cheekiness.
