In paradise, the most incredible things happen. In paradise, we release our emotions: paradise is a jewel, positive sensations, positive feelings. And this is precisely what the performers of FREE BODIES and FREE ROOTS experience, young dancers who surrender to a poetic, radiant dance: a fabulous journey to paradise.
The choreographic universes of German choreographer Nadine Gerspacher, creator of the training and performance project Fre3 Bodies, and Nicola Monaco, dancer from the company Akram Khan, come together in Paradise is a feeling, a delicate and suggestive, almost hypnotic show, in which the performers appear to vindicate their right, our right, to enjoy paradise.
FREE BODIES offers young talent from around the world a space in which to develop their creativity and acquire the tools they need to achieve their artistic dreams. As for FREE ROOTS, they go a step further, helping young professionals to perfect their movement technique and practice. In Paradise is a feeling, the performers interact with each other, engaging in a dialogue through dance, and they get the Mercè festival audience to participate in this dialogue. An artistic gathering that will leave us feeling like we’re in paradise.
