UCRANIA FEST is an opportunity to discover the traditions, fashion, crafts, cuisine and customs of Ukraine and, at the same time, introduce the Ukrainian community living in Catalonia to Catalan culture. An intercultural festival featuring a whole host of activities: from a fair selling traditional craft products from Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine, to performances and artistic proposals that bring the community into contact with creators from Catalonia. UCRANIA FEST is a festival open to all nationalities that promotes coexistence, knowledge, respect and equality between genders and cultures.

Organised by the DJERELO association, this festival is usually held in Plaça del Virrei Amat, in Nou Barris; this year, however, the Mercè is hosting a condensed edition which will be taking place in the Palauet Albéniz. The aims of the festival include the dissemination and popularisation of Ukrainian folklore, fostering intercultural relations and creative exchange between poets and composers, choreographers, professional photographers and clothes designers, and popular artists from Eastern Europe.
