TRIA are Àngela Furquet, Esther Sánchez and Pedro Bartolomé, three artists with very different musical interests (jazz, early music and classical, rock, progressive folk, Latin American folklore) and one in common: peninsular folk and traditional Iberian music. For the last five years, this trio have been sharing creative experiences through roots music, and now they felt the need to share a joint creation.

This led to TRIA, their first disc: twelve songs that talk about who we are, our values, our way of doing things, feeling, making demands or having fun, relating to one another and belonging. TRIA is also a project through which Àngela, Esther and Pedro reinterpret the sounds and ambience of the fields where people worked, using their original songs as seeds and the elements that nourish their musical universe as the earth for cultivating their work.

The guitar, the charango, the five-stringed violin, Iberian percussion instruments and more than anything, their voices, are the tools they use to transfer these atmospheres to the stage. The fascination with the richness and beauty of songs, rhythms and melodies which spring from our lands.
