15th Manifesta European Nomadic Biennial Exhibition
The fifteenth edition of European, Manifesta nomadic biennial exhibition 15, will arrive to Barcelona and to eleven towns of the metropolitan area. The international meeting has the objective of foster a balanced socio-ecological transition and to make participant the citizenship.
Manifesta 15 intends to reform the relationships between art, culture and society investigating and acting as catalyst for the socio-ecological change. All this in continuous dialog with the local communities as well as the producers cultural international.
Of the 8 September in the 24 November 2024, Manifesta will work in extraordinary spaces, which will be erected as symbols of the thematic and conceptual approach of the edition. The biennial exhibition wants to include new local perspectives about the fabric|tissue and the stories in constant change of the region.
For its nomadic character, each edition is celebrated every two years in a new place, because it is invited for a city of reception. In the case of Manifesta 15, the proposal was written up by the Town Council of Barcelona and turn for 11 cities of the metropolitan region: Badalona, Cornellà de Llobregat, El Prat De Llobregat, Granollers, L'hospitalet de Llobregat, Mataró, Sabadell, Sant Adrià de Besòs, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Cugat del Vallès and Terrassa.
Manifesta 15 it will be the biggest edition of the history of Manifesta, spreading on a surface of 3,000 km/2, with a population of 5.1 million inhabitants. Besides this edition will be accommodated for the first time for 12 cities at the same time.
The complete biennial program of the 15th edition of Manifesta will be published at the beginning of summer of 2024.
Prebiennial events that will take place before the inauguration

La quinzena edició de la biennal nòmada europea, Manifesta 15, arribarà a Barcelona i a onze municipis de l’àrea metropolitana. La trobada internacional té com a objectiu fomentar una transició socioecològica equilibrada i fer-ne partícip la ciutadania.
Manifesta 15 pretén reformar les relacions entre art, cultura i societat investigant i fent de catalitzador pel canvi socioecològic. Tot això en diàleg continu tant amb les comunitats locals com amb els productors culturals internacionals.
Del 8 de setembre al 24 de novembre de 2024, Manifesta treballarà en espais extraordinaris, que s’erigiran com a símbols de l'enfocament temàtic i conceptual de l'edició. La biennal vol incloure noves perspectives locals sobre el teixit i les històries en constant canvi de la regió.
Pel seu caràcter nòmada, cada edició es celebra cada dos anys en una nova localitat perquè és convidada per una ciutat d'acollida. En el cas de Manifesta 15, la proposta va ser redactada per l'Ajuntament de Barcelona i recolzada per 11 ciutats de la regió metropolitana: Badalona, Cornellà de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, Granollers, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Mataró, Sabadell, Sant Adrià de Besòs, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Cugat del Vallès i Terrassa.
Manifesta 15 serà l’edició més gran de la història de Manifesta, estenent-se en una superfície de 3.000 km/2, amb una població de 5,1 milions d'habitants. A més a més aquesta edició serà acollida per primera vegada per 12 ciutats alhora.
