The project El cor de la ciutat in Plaça Catalunya is a poetic and immersive light installation inspired by the birds that inhabit the square, iconic symbols of the city. Through a choreography of lights that simulates the flight of birds forming hearts in the air, it conveys a message of love and emotional connection during the Christmas season. This intervention transforms the space into a visual experience both during the day, with natural dichroic reflections, and at night, using efficient LED technology.
Lighting: 1,716 encapsulated LED modules, each with 5 W of power, distributed in pre-assembled garlands in accordance with the lengths and locations of the project.
Sustainability: the project reuses existing structures in the square and makes use of low-energy consumption technology with the aim of minimising the environmental impact and reducing the ecological footprint.
