Extra cleaning services Christmas 2024

Barcelona City Council will be implementing special cleaning and waste-collecting measures in the city for the Christmas festivities.

Extra work will be carried out in the more central and commercial areas of each district. There will be daily paper and cardboard collections in the main shopping hubs.

Bearing in mind that extra waste is usually generated during the Christmas festivities, there will be extra cleaning and waste-collection services throughout the city, especially in its more central areas.

There will be waste-collection back-up teams during the day for every type of container and generally every type of waste, with more frequent container emptying and street hosing.

There will also be daily paper and cardboard collections in the main shopping hubs.
