Concerts, visits, dance, radio and film at the Cultura Rambles Festival

22/03/2023 - 07:00 h

Ajuntament de Barcelona

The event is the opening day of the 2023 programme, and among the proposals there will also be many for the family audience.

Línea Cultura Rambles is part of the project to transform La Rambla in order to promote the cultural experience of Barcelona’s neighbourhood in this unique and unrepeatable street. It offers a cultural and community programme on the promenade with the collaboration of organisations, facilities and the neighbourhood through themed cultural agoras (radio, children’s, music, gatherings…), to consolidate a daily cultural programme on this emblematic Barcelona promenade.

On Saturday 25 March, the Cultura Ramblas Festival will be held to inaugurate the 2023 programme. Activities will be held throughout the day, starting with a guided tour of the Gran Teatre del Liceu at 9.30 a.m. (prior registration required at culturarambles@bcn.cat), and continuing with a parade led by Batucada Xamfrà. Family activities and activities aimed at children will be very important throughout the day (a children’s library will be set up, there will be storytelling, workshops for the little ones, concerts…), but there will also be activities for adults. This is the case of an exhibition of dances by the elderly at midday, a discussion on the defeat of 1714 (at 12.30 p.m.), a dance exhibition (at 5 p.m.) and the screening of the film Los Tarantos, which will start at 8.30 p.m. and close the festival. Ràdio Rambles will be broadcasting a magazine show from 11.15 am to 1.15 pm from number 114, Rambla de Sant Josep. It will be the premiere of the third season of Ràdio Rambles.
