Grec Festival de Barcelona

The Barcelona Grec Festival is the city's flagship event, with theatre, dance, music and circus. It is a festival with a long tradition that in 2019 will be celebrating its 43rd edition. During this time, the Grec has not only become Barcelona's main summer cultural attraction, but also a must-do in the European festivals calendar.

After a history spanning forty years, the Barcelona Grec Festival has become the leading show producer in Catalonia. It has a dual mission: firstly, it provides support to local production and showcases some of the best creations by Catalan groups and artists, and secondly, it aims to be a window to the world by using the city to present the most interesting ideas from different countries.
