‘J. S. Bach & OCM’

Four grand pianos simultaneously at the Palau de la Música

The Camera Musicae Symphony Orchestra will perform Bach concerts for 1, 2, 3 and 4 pianos.

It hasn’t happened at the Palau de la Música Catalana since 2001, and now the Camera Musicae Symphony Orchestra is coming back to present some of Johan Sebastian Bach’s most incredible concerts. Specifically, they are pieces for one, two, three and four pianos which the German maestro composed between the 17th and 18th centuries. Therefore, the show entitled ‘J. S. Bach & OCM’ will revolve around four grand pianos which will be played by true masters of the instrument, namely Albert Guinovart, Alba Ventura, Sebastian Knauer, Marc Heredia, Katia Michel and Marta Puig. Jordi Mora will conduct this event, which includes six of Bach’s most renowned and recognised concertos, allowing the audience to enjoy a unique, unforgettable experience. One of these pieces, the one that will open the concert, is precisely one of the artist’s most brilliant compositions: Brandenburg Concerto no. 3 in G Major.

This special, unique performance will take place on Sunday 12 May at 5:30 pm at the Palau de la Música Catalana. Conductor Jordi Mora, who is making this concert possible, has extensive experience conducting renowned orchestras, such as the Greek National Orchestra, the Vallès Symphony Orchestra, the 21st Century Symphony, the Bruckner Akademie Orchester, the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra, the Argentine National Symphony Orchestra and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, among many others.

Tickets cost between €31.50 and €75 depending on the seats. You can purchase them on the Palau de la Música website.
