Casa Vicens reopens, an oasis in the Gràcia neighbourhood

It is the first house designed by Antoni Gaudí, in which he created the basis of what would be his architectural style.

Built between 1883 and 1885, and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, Casa Vicens was the first house designed by Antoni Gaudí, and was then, as it is still today, an oasis in Gràcia, giving a sense of stillness, of refuge, rest and tranquillity. Today a house-museum, on July 8th it will open again the doors, having incorporated all the safety and hygiene measures that the current situation demands. But also with more artistic novelties, as is the putting in function of an audio-guide in 13 languages, developed together with the company Muzee, totally accessible and that does not require the download of any mobile apps or specific devices; the visitor can access all the contents elaborated between Casa Vicens and Mediapro Exhibitions from their own mobile phone by doing  only one click when entering the building.

From the same 8th, the schedule will be the same as before the pandemic - Every day from 10 am to 8 pm -, and there is a promotion of 50% discount on ticket prices, now available. Moreover, this summer the first house of Gaudí offers two modalities when visiting: the free one and the Summer Vicens; This second one includes an exclusive appetizer in the cafeteria of the house-museum.
