Concurs Internacional de Música de les Corts

15th International Music Competition of Les Corts

Talented young performers from 13 countries will compete in three phases with highly varied repertories.

The week of 20 May, the city will fill with young people from up to thirteen different countries, all competing to win the 15th International Music Competition of Les Corts. The fifteenth edition of this event will feature 38 participants in the vocal category and 32 in the instrumental category. This competition aims to promote musical performances and dissemination of classical music through the younger generations, as well as encouraging and supporting young performers with their careers. This is why the contest is open to performers from 18 to 35 years old, competing in three phases.

In the first, the selection phase, which will take place on 20 and 21 May at the Centre d’estudis Musicals A Tempo in the morning, participants will have 10 minutes to choose their repertory from the works on the registration form. From here, 16 performers will be chosen: 8 in each category. In the second phase, the concert, which will take place on 22 and 23 May at the Can Deu community centre, the eight finalists will be chosen. To finish off the contest, the grand finale will take place on 25 May at the AXA Convention Centre at 6 pm. Here, each musician will have 10 minutes for their audition, selected by the judges based on the pieces performed in the registration phase. Awards will be given out after the performances.

You can attend any of the phases, free of charge, but you have to book your spot by emailing comunicaciolescorts@bcn.cat. More information and times are available on the Les Corts website.
